The first Kyiv forum co-production "Cinerally Kyiv"
Ukrainian filmmakers submitted film projects with the potential of international co-production
May 27, 2010 the presentation of the Ukrainian film projects that have the potential for international co-production was held on the II Kiev International Film Festival. The event was aimed to present the project of the First Kiev forum co-production, which will be held next year.
Seven members were selected to participate in the presentation - "And now I'll love you", directed by Roman Shirman, "Brothers" Victoria Trofimenko, "Hello Wedding - New Year's Eve”, Alexei Shakhnazarov, “Hostage" George Deliev, “Credence" Valentine Vasyanovich, “Paradjanov" by Roman Balayan, “The lifetime of the object in the scene" Alexandra Balagury. Five of them were presented by their creators May 27 in the hall of the restaurant "Oasis" in the cinema "Butterfly Ultramarine" Projects were presented by Elena Fetisova (producer, film studio "Interfilm"), Valentin Vasyanovich (director, company “Garmat film"), Victoria Trofimenko (producer and director, company “Alba film Interteyment"), Vladimir Kozyr (producer, film studio "Interfilm”), Svetlana Zinovieva (producer, the company "Inspiration Films"). After the end of the presentation, participants were answering questions of the invited press, film critics, producers, distributors and potential investors. We hope that this event will provide a platform for attracting investors into the Ukrainian film industry and the interest of the guests of this presentation in the submitted projects will grow into cooperation and creation of new films.

Within the frames of the III Kiev International Film Festival (27 May - 3 June, 2011) the first Kyiv forum of the co-production "Cinerally Kyiv" will take place.
In pursuance of the objectives of the Kiev International Film Festival of supporting the film, forming its high socio-cultural status, developing creative contacts, exchanging experience and ideas between Ukrainian and foreign filmmakers, as well as development of co-production in Ukraine,the First Kiev Forum of co-production "Cinerally Kyiv" is going to take place within the frames of the III Kiev International Film Festival, which will be held from 27 May to 3 June 2011.
The objectives of this event are: contribution into the creation of the co-operative international film projects, the development of the national film industry and its promotion on the markets of the other countries.
Such forums are an important integral part of all major international film festivals. Including:
- Producers Network within the Cannes International Film Festival, France;
- Berlinale Co-Production Market within Berlinal, Germany;
- Cinemart within the Rotterdam International Film Festival, Netherlands;
- Moscow Forum of Co-production at the Moscow International Film Festival;
- Baltic Event within the Black Nights International Festival in Tallinn
- Sofia Meetings within the Sofia International Film Festival,
-and others.
Kyiv forum of the co-production "Cinerally Kyiv" will be held on a regular basis and the format of its carrying out will correspond to the already used international practice standards.
Filmmakers from around the world will have the opportunity to take part in the forum and compete for the cash prize. Application form and more detailed terms of the timing of projects and requirements for them will be available on the Kiev International Film Festival website from August 2010.
