Sergey Rakhlin graduated from “LGU” university’s faculty of journalism. Started his career in Latvia, writing for a local papers and later editing the Russian film magazine «Kino» in Riga. Rakhlin came to USA in 1979. Received MA degree from University of South California. During perestroika he began working as a correspondent for Russian publications. In 1995, Rakhlin became a member of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, later took the post of an Executive Secretary. Author of several scripts for documentaries. Film reviewer for “The Voice of America”. Managing editor of «Panorama» newspaper. Art director, executive producer, talk show host for Radio-TV satellite station WMNB. Contributor to many magazines in Russia, Latvia, author of numerous interviews and surveys of American cinema.
