Aydin Sayman is the famous Turkish actor, film director, producer, writer and film critic. He was born in 1953 in Malatya (the Eastern Turkey). Graduated from Faculty of Economics in Istanbul University. Since 1970 Aydin works in the art sphere of the theatre, journalism, musical video, feature and documental cinema. In 1970-1974 Aydin worked at several newspapers and magazines as a film critic. During the same years he worked at Istanbul Sinematek Club as an assistant editor. Then he began working as an assistant director in Turkish film industry. Now he is director and producer in Istanbul. Besides, he is the general secretary of Turkish Cinema Foundation. As the result of his film career Aydin Sayman is an award-winner of numerous international film festivals in Istanbul and the Ankara film festival of the Mediterranean countries.
