Three awards of the European Film Academy were got by Haneke’s “Das Weisse Band”.

The European Film Academy acknowledged the film of Austrian producer Michael Haneke “Das Weisse Band” the best film of year. The picture got also prizes for the best direction and the best scenario, Reuters reports.

Let’s remind that this year the picture also got “Palme d’Or” on the Cannes Film Festival.  

The work of Kate Winslett in the film “Reader” was acknowledged the best female role by the film academy, and the prize for the best man’s role was given to Tahar Rahim who played in Jacques Audiard’s “Next”.       
“Slumdog Millionaire”, the Oscar laureate of this year, got the prize of the spectator liking.

The European Film Academy was founded in 1989. Ingmar Bergman became its first president. This year the awards were given for the 22-d time.

Let’s remind that the previous year Italian drama “Gomorra” was awarded five prizes of the European Film Academy, including “the best film”, “the best direction” and “the best man’s role”.
