The management of the world’s oldest Venice Film Festival announced the name of the owner of the most honoured award “Leone d'Oro” of the 67-th film festival. This person will be Chinese director John Woo, the master of “action” films. The director will be presented with the award for his contribution into development of cinematograph and personal achievements.

Such films are among the works of John Woo:

«Mission Impossible II»
«Blackjack»
«Face/Off»
«Once a Thief»
«Broken Arrow»
«Hard Target»
Etc.

It is pleasant to note that John Woo comes back to Hollywood after long creative break. But it is strange enough that he changes his favorite genre of action for screen version of biography of legendary traveler Marco Polo.
